After Danny Ross was let go on 5 December 1983, Carol Corcoran wrote the 40-column code and (with Dave) the 80-column code; Mike Brannigan and Carol Corcoran compiled the technical manual after Timex shut down.
The second half turned to why the 2068 failed commercially. The group discussed Timex's decision to differentiate rather than ship a Spectrum-compatible machine (the Chameleon ROM cartridge was their fallback), the late and never-shipped mass-storage story, the 1983 video-game crash, and Timex's own role in tanking the low-end market by pricing the TS1000 at $99.
