Just thinking about all the things people used the Timex's for, anyone have any interesting stories on what they used them for. I'm actually thinking of using a Timex 1000 as a greenhouse temperature monitor.

If you use the '1000 as a controller, make sure you have a good DC power backup system. The little buggers were hungry, and they would eat through a small battery in no time. Keep us posted on your progress!
