Thanks for all those that replied to my post last November in regards to the dead MIB
ts2068 I got on ebay.
Sorry about the long delay.
First - for those wondering, I got nothing back (ebay did nothing - basically gave me
a tough luck email in the end). That's the last time I buy anything with BidPay!!!
2nd - I did play around with the ROMS from a working TS2068 - still same problem.
As for the RAM, I was real reluctant on removing them (I still think that's the
problem).
In the end, I found a nice guy on the interenet (not ebay) that sold be a used 2068 for
only $15! :) So, I put the logic board from the scratched up used one into the nice
case I got from the jerk on ebay. At this point I'm satisfied!
If I knew more on the working of the 2068, I'd try messing with the broken one - but
for now, it's just parts.

I work in an R&D lab so removing and replacing the DRAMS is not too
big a deal. I haven't been able to find a source for the 4416s that
the 2068 uses.
One oops about this is that I blew up the SCLD in a 2068 years ago and
seem to remember the same "black bar" syndrome. If this is the case,
you're out of luck for repairing it.
