Welcome John!

It's been a little quiet here lately, but there are some real die-hards
in this group. I no longer do much with my T/S stuff, but I couldn't
part with my babies, sorry. They're show pieces on a shelf now, but
they hold so many fond memories for me. eBay is a great place to get
started. Good luck with your new T/S 1000! I'm sure you'll have it up
and running in no time. If you run into trouble, I'm sure someone here
will be able to help you out.

So what brought you to the 23 year old T/S 1000?

Hope to hear from you again soon,

-Scott-

Subject: Hi

I'm new to the group, so I figured I should say "hello".

I don't have a 2068, but am looking for one if someone has one
they would be willing to part with. I've got a bid on a T/S 1000
on ebay, so I'm anxious to see if it's even functional!

Take care,

John

I had a friend of mine from way back when I was doing a paper route
in junior high school that had a T/S 1000 and he just loved it. He
was trying to get me hooked and I really wanted one, but that $99
sticker price was pretty steep for a guy with a paper route. So a
few weeks ago I was joking with some friends at the software company
I work for-- ribbing the AS/400 guys that I could probably chain
together a few T/S 1000's and have the same processing power as their
AS/400.

So it got me thinking about the T/S again and it just snowballed into
a bid.

BTW: I lost the auction-- I'm in between houses right now and my PC
is at the other house, so it's tough to stay on top of my bids right
now. So I'll be looking for another now, but I'll be looking at the
2068 instead of the 1000!!

Take care,
John
