I am new to using "Groups" so forgive any "no no's" I may commit at
this point. Still I wanted to say that it is refreshing to find a
group of fellow "2068"ers still out in the world.
A bit of an introduction about myself and my favorite machine.
I am a professional clown doing childrens entertainment, though
mostly for coporate events these days. I am in the movie "Mr.
Holland's Opus" staring Richard Dryfus if you wish to see me in
my "15 seconds of fame".
On the T-S side of my life I am the former librarian of the now
defunct C.C.A.T.S. here in Oregon (USA) and still use my 2068 with
the LarKen disk drive set-up for some of my tasks. I have quite
a "working museium" of Sinclair and related items, (sorry but they
are NOT for sale).
As the surviving semi-active member of our once thriving user group I
still have the care and use of our collection of books, newsletters
and magazines as well as several boxes of "tapes" (programs) for our
machines.
I was pleased to find that there may be others out there that I might
be able to share with. Please, e-mail me if I can be of any help.
Also, as I have been out of touch with the TS community for several
years, please feel free to steer me towards any new developments that
would lengthen the uses of my "machine of choice".
FYI: I have 5 2068s, 4 TS-1000s, 2 QLs and accessories from LarKen,
Memotek, Zebra, and a host of others.
Thanks for "keeping the faith"!
