Homemade T/S 2068 programs hold a special honor among other programs. The game/application/utility was created for one user: the person that wrote it. These programs are, by definition, one-of-a-kind. Most of the time the only way to get to see anything like this is to buy a computer collection from someone that was interested in programming and go through all of the disks and tapes. It can be a time consuming process.
I sold off my C64 disks back in the early nineties-- the only items that I regret losing are some of the programs that I wrote back in the mid-eighties when I was about thirteen or fourteen. These programs can't be replaced. Were any of the programs worth showing to other people? Probably not. Yet, these programs show part of a world that is gone. These types of programs are not typically archived for any systems. Many are full of bugs or are unfinished. Most are no more than an afternoon doodle at the keyboard using BASIC. They were just a way to pass a few hours for someone that was interested in playing around with their computer.
In general homemade programs are not archived. This isn't because there is some unspoken rule against it, but because the archiver wonders who would want to see programs like this (which is the very same reason that this topic came up).
If it's not too much trouble, then archive the T/S 2068 homemade programs. If it's a bother, then skip them and move onto something else that was printed in a magazine or published on tape or disk. Either way, if the program is homemade then most people would avoid trying it out when they can use commercial programs.
