There are a number of Spectrum channels, but nothing Timex specific.
However, nobody will object to Timex chat in the Spectrum ones. The two
channels which are reasonably active are:

* #speccy on Coldfront. Channel key is the base of Spectrum (or Timex)
  screen memory in decimal.
* #spin on Coldfront. Due to the unfortunate actions of a certain
individual (if you don't know the details, it's not important), the
key is kept semi-private. Show up in #speccy for a while and don't be
  an idiot.

There are also a few basically inactive channels:

* #zx on Coldfront. No key, but no chat either.
* #general on irc.worldofspectrum.org. _Server_ password is the base
of Spectrum screen memory again. Pretty much dead.
* #technical on irc.worldofspectrum.org. Server password as above, and
  even more dead.

Cheers,

Phil

There's #speccy, the official IRC channel of comp.sys.sinclair on coldfront (www.coldfront.net). However for tech talk you're usually better off with #spin on the same server. The password for #speccy is the address of the screen area in decimal, and the password for #spin is the is the address of the first byte of the upper 16K of RAM (again in decimal). There's a web client on the website or you can use a normal IRC client.
