1. Maximum TS 2068 Cartridge Size?

Adam Trionfo · Tue, 8 Jan 2008 08:05:

I have a few questions about TS 2068 cartridges:

1) What is the maximum size of a cartridge for the TS 2068 (without resorting to any measures like bank-switching)?

2) Was the maximum cartridge size ever reached for a game?

3) Were there any cartridges that were TS 2068 exclusives because they used features of the computer that the Spectrum didn't have?

Maybe 56K. Or 64K. I think Jarek made a 64K cartridge.

Games can only use 56K. The memory area used for display cannot be
used on cartridge port (it can but not for the games Timex sold).

I don't know it Timex cartridges will ever work on a standard Spectrum.
TimeWord, a word processing program sold by TMX Portugal for TC2068,
uses 64 column mode, so it cannot be used on a Spectrum. OS64 uses
too 64 column mode.
