Call it the Academic Timex... Researchers at Ball State University doing research into semantic priming used a 2068 as part of their test apparatus:
"The stimuli were displayed using an Amdex 12-in. green-screen monitor. Each word appeared in black letters against the green of the screen. The cathode-ray tube (CRT) display was controlled by a Timex 2068 microcomputer. The words were presented in all capital letters centered on the display. Subjects viewed the screen at a distance of about 60 cm. The reaction time was measured using a Gerbrands G1270 clock counter and a Gerbrands G1741 voice-operated relay."

The paper (Automatic semantic priming: Effect of category exemplar level and word association level) was first submitted in July, 1985, so the research was probably done 6-12 months prior.
