Hi everyone, I've been loaded down with more life/work issues and
unfortunately I'm taking longer than I'd like to approve messages for
the ts2068 mail group. Would anyone like to volunteer to be a
moderator for the group? It would involve approving messages to make
sure spam doesn't make it to the rest of the subscribers, and
approving new members.

Let me know if you'd like to help out!

Is there a particularly high volume of spam to process? I mean how items are we talking about processing every day?

No, its actually pretty low volume, yahoo's systems have gotten much
better about blocking spam; I'd say we're doing 4-5 messages per week.
The reason I'm asking is that I'm sure no one likes that they send an
email on Sunday and it doesn't get approved/sent until Wednesday when
I get around to it.

The other choice is to switch to unmoderated mode, where as long as
your email address is a member of the list it'll get forwarded on -
the issue with that is that we've had subscriber's emails spoofed.

Let me know your thoughts.

I'm available to help moderate posts. I already moderate several groups.

Ok, I could manage that. Where do I sign up?

Life happens. My apologies on the backlog on approvals.

If there are no objections, I will be promoting Al , Fred and Andrew
to moderator status to review and approve postings to the list.
Hopefully this will smooth things out.

Thank you for helping out!

Thanks guys for helping out and hanging in there.

Now, if we could only just get news on those twister boards :)

I know, I know, takes forever doesn't it? :p

There should be an update later this year. One of the reasons why it takes so long is because of the cost. After announcing the twister boards for months in a row in all places Sinclair-related, I got less than 20 people who were interested, which means it doesn't cover the cost of making them. But we'll get there.

Please, feel free to pass along the higher cost of making them to us. If
given the choice between waiting many years for a twisterboard at some price
point X, and paying X+Y to get them within the quarter, I'd rather pay X+Y.

Well, I'm happy to say that as soon as I made that post here I got an additional 5 orders added to the list. Since we now have enough orders to justify the cost, the PCB will be ordered this weekend. Those of you who are on my list will receive en email update shortly.
