Whilst on the subject of old programs, has anybody thoughtof playing the original tape into their computer, convertingto .mp3, and putting them up in the 'files' section ?Regards,           Joe...........(did forget to mention 'Spectrum' files)

A lot of people are connecting MP3 players or even their PC sound card
to their Spectrum, but I've never tried it on a TS2068. You can use a
program called TZX2WAV and then convert it to MP3, but there are some
volume and bitrate requirements that I can't remember now. There's
also a PC program called K7ZX that transforms a regular TZX into a
high-speed snapshot that can be transferred to MP3. This is not based
on the old turbo loaders, which used the old square wave method. It's
a whole new concept and it doesn't even sound like a Spectrum, but it
works.
