Hi...
I inherited a lot of material from the Ottawa-Hull Timex Sinclair group and I
might have a dump of the EPROM contents for the Oliger floppy disc controller --
only might. However before I turn my apartment inside out looking for it, I
need to warn you that what I am most likely to have is a paper copy in assembler
or, worse still, just a hexadecimal dump. I could scan it into a PDF document
for you. Would that still interest you or not?

Subject: [ts2068] Oliger board
Hi,
I use the Oliger floppy disk interface when running my T/S 2068. Recently the
EPROM (2764) went bad on the "B" board. I was using v2.55 programmed for 80
tracks on 5 1/4" disks. I was wondering if anyone knows of a source for these
preprogrammed EPROMS. I have tried to contact Mr. Oliger but have not been able
to. I have noticed that his code is available online for v2.65. Has anyone
successfully burned any of these EPROM's for the 2068? Alternatively, is there
any source for entire Oliger 2068 disk interface systems?
Thanks for replying to this post,
sz

Zabad,
Thanks for replying. No, I am looking for a fully-functional preprogrammed EPROM that I can just insert onto the "B" board. The source code is already available online but it does me no good without being able to burn an actual EPROM. I need something that is simple and ready to go, perhaps even the entire disk interface system.

Hi,
I have extra eproms of both Oliger SAFE-DOS V2.55 and V2.65. I am not
looking to get rid of them but would entertain having them copied. I have
packed away all my Timex stuff so cannot do the copying without a huge
amount of work. I will not have time to do this for about 4 years. If you
can figure a way to get them copied and back to me safely let me know.
I also have eproms of the Aerco FD-68 and Larken LK-DOS operating systems
(and one that has both Larken & Oliger systems on it) that could be copied
if someone would take the lead. I also have an eprom with the Spectrum ROM
that can be used in conjuction with the Larken system (if you have the
correct cartridge board).
My email address changes March 1. I have made the change in the Group so
should be able to be contacted seamlessly. The new address works now.
Also, anyone wanting to give a shot at updating the web site
www.worldofspectrum.org/timex let me know.

Hello Jack,
I would for sure like to acquire a copy of the spectrum rom.
Are you in the USA? / Canada ?

Hi Jack,
Do you have any vacation plans in Florida any time soon? There are some incomplete cartridge projects that I have come across that I think you and Eric may have been working on together that need to be finished. There is also what looks to be an unpopulated Spectrum emulator cartridge board that has your name burned into it. Let me know if you are going to be in the Central Florida area and we will go over some of this stuff.
thanks,
neil

Hi,
Problem solved! I have recently received two eproms that work as
replacements on the Oliger "B" board (v.2.52 & v.2.65). They were
obtained from Rich M. via the following website:
http://www.rwapservices.co.uk <http://www.rwapservices.co.uk>
Thanks, sz
