Hi Don. I'm a bit confused. Which one of those was the TS2000 prototype? I only see TS2068s. The prototype was the same of a normal Spectrum (or the size of a TS1500).
I thought I was the only one who had a TS2068 in a clear case. Looks like it's not as rare as I thought. :)

Attached is the only picture I have and below is what he explained to me.
"
The Spectrum48k were also from the lab and work with NTSC channel 33. They were built by the factory that way. I only have one each of the TC2068 and TC2048 and would like to keep them. I may be able to provide you with a 1050 modem. I have an empty case and a number of working complete boards. The 2068 clear cases are the only ones I know of in existense. One is already promised to _______ and I will keep the other. I wouldn't know what kind of price to put on it anyway.

It looked like a TS 1500.
http://rk.nvg.ntnu.no/sinclair/computers/timex/ts2000.htm
I believe it was pretty much a clone of a Sinclair Spectrum. However,
instead of releasing it, Timex thought it could do better, and so they
delayed releasing it to make some changes. The TS 2068 was a better
computer, but the market was moving fast and the delay combined with the
fact that the new computer was now not 100% compatible with the Spectrum
killed Timex as a computer company. They missed the 1982 Christmas season,
and they were already behind the power curve for the 1983 Christmas season.
Bad decision. They would have been much better off releasing it as is in
1982.
