1. System Variables

Hi,

Please, forgive my bad english... I am wondering where can I get information about the specific TS 2068 system variables, which are not used in the ZX Spectrum. I mean, the ones located in the addresses from 23734 up to 23755. The only info I could get is what the User Manual says: a listing of the variable names and a short explanation, one line long.
I'm writing an essay about memory and system variables in Spectrum & 2068 and need that info to get to complete it.
By the way, you can read my essay in http://www.ssir.com.ar/VariablesZXSpectrum.pdf. Unluckily for now is in Spanish, I hope to be able to translate it to English when finished and corrected.
   Thank you all!

As far as I'm aware that's the only information there is from the Timex side of things. Most of the Timex system variables are the same as the Spectrum ones (and those are described in more detail in various places). The Timex specific ones are used for dealing with the ON ERR code, screen modes, AROS and LROS cartridges and so on and so forth. Note that the Spectrum ROM is a little bit unfinished, whereas the Timex ROM is seriously unfinished. There's all sorts of code in there that doesn't actually do anything any more and some of the system variables may not be used. At the very least it looks like there was a lot more support for the other screen modes intended than what ended up being delivered.
