1. T/S 2068 version of a ZXSpand

John · Sun, 19 Feb 2012 01:32

Okay, bought an expansion device a few months ago for my T/S 1500 (it's designed for a ZX-81. It's called a ZXspand:

http://www.rwapsoftware.co.uk/zx812.html

So, my question is - has anyone developed something similar that could function on a T/S 2068. If it's something that was designed for the Speccy and requires a ROM emulator and twister board, I've got both.

Glad you are pleased with the ZXpand - it has proved something of a revival for the ZX81. For the T/S 2068, surely the answer here (if you have a twister board and Spectrum ROM emulator), is to get a DivIDE or DivIDE Plus which provide a compact flash interface for the Spectrum and has been used with the T/S 2068 so far as I know Rich MellorRWAP Software

Yeah, thought that might be the answer. Do have a twister board, and a new DivIDE is en route, so will report on how well that works. Am also trying to get a Spectrum Plus 2 to show video and have components en route for that. If it all works out, I'll post some pics.

We supply the ZXpand all over the world - it is available exclusively through www.sellmyretro.com - see http://www.sellmyretro.com/search/naturalSearch?keyword=zxpand There is also a plug-in AY sound module for the ZXpand (the ZXpand-AY). This also provides a joystick adaptor and is currently being adapted to also provide a mouse connection! Rich MellorRWAP Software

What about if you don't have the twister board or Rom emulator?

thanks,
Christopher.
