I just ran across your Timex Sinclair Showcase, not realizing that there
are still Timex fans out there. I used to be in a Timex User Group here
in California. I also noticed that Timex computers are selling on eBay.
I still have a complement of Timex products, several new 1000's, RAM
pack, a 2068, printer, 300 modem I made. And a 2068 cartridge slot EPROM
burner with instructions along with the EPROM programs I created (an
assembly code word processor). I still have a copy of a fully annotated
assembly ROM code for one of them, can't remember if it's for the 1000 or
2068. Several magazines which may fill in some of your missing editions.
I also wrote a graphic version of Monopoly for the 1000, in BASIC and
machine code, I wonder if the tape can still be read.
Let me know if this is still an active web site looking for scans of the
magazines and I'll dig it out and scan what you don't have for you.
Any idea how many are still using their Timex computers?
2. Floppy Disks Available
Jack Boatwright · Wed, 7 Apr 2004 08:29:
Hi all,
I have a small quantity of floppy disks and drive cases that were acquired from RMG Enterprises when it went out of the TS business a few years ago. I can no longer store these and want to make them available to anyone who might have a use. They can be had for the cost to ship them.
Of course, there is no guarantee that they still work so it will be on an 'as is' basis. I will not test these as I do not have the time. If no takers they will put in the landfill (even thrift stores don't want them).
They are:
5.25 inch full-height (360K)
5.25 inch half-height (various sizes)
3.5 inch (720K)
Also available:
1 disk drive case with power supply that will hold one full-height or 2 half-height drives (weighs 18 pounds unpackaged with 2 drives)
1 disk drive case (holds only drives [no power supply]) for one full-height or 2 half-height drives (weighs 8 pounds unpackaged with 2 drives)
If you are interested please send an email that includes your zip code (or country) and I will calculate the shipping cost.
Thanks,
Jack
3. TS2068 Pinball Cassette
Jack Boatwright · Thu, 8 Apr 2004 18:32:
Anybody ever seen the 'TS2068' Pinball cassette (by Timex)?
I've seen the cartridge but have never seen the cassette version. Could it be vaporware, like the BEU, 2080 printer & microdrives?
Jack
4. Printers
Jack Boatwright · Tue, 25 May 2004 14:52
I am working on a project that requires a number of TS2040 printers. I'm also interested in acquiring a few Epson RX-80 and/or RX-80 F/T printers.
If you have one of these that you no longer use please let me know.
Thanks,
Jack
5. "The Plotter" Newsletter Available

Hello All,
I have one extra complete set (12 years) of "The Plotter", the newsletter of the Clackamas County Area Timex Sinclair (CCATS) user group. This includes "Best of The Plotter" a bound volume of many of the good articles and programs from the regular newsletter. CCATS was located in the Portland Oregon area and one of the founders was Rod Gowen of RMG Enterprises. There are articles, programs and reviews for all the Sinclair machines, including the QL & Z88.
These weigh about 7 pounds and can be shipped via Media Mail, if in the US, for about $4. If outside the US mailing cost will be significantly higher as these must be shipped as regular mail.
If you are interested the cost will be what it takes to ship from me to you, plus $2. First email takes them.
Jack

Heya Jack, I wouldn't mind taking these off your hands if no one else is
interested... It'd be good for the 'when I have a free moment' digitizing
of all docs related to the ts2068 that I would love to accomplish.

A way to send heavy, intellectual (research papers, books, etc.) items
through the mail for very low cost. These old newsletters are considered
"intellectual research papers" because of their historical value.
I'm sure there is a better definition for this out there.
