Among the most requested items I passed out in the TS Gear Handouts was the simple TV switch-box connecting the computer to a TV. Seems these are getting very rare. Users probably forgot the switch-box when discarding an old TV.
I see a listing on eBay for an item that works around the lack of a switch-box. This item is described as being for the TS1000 but the maker assures me it should also serve the purpose for the TS2068. I'm getting one just to see if it does the job.

Just buy an RCA to F connector and use your(any) old rca cable...
look:

Way pay US$15.00 if you can pay US$ 1.00?
Regards,
Oscar

Is this a problem people are having? You don't need it the box at all, I thought everybody knew this? You can go to and electronic store and get and RF adaptor with a 75ohm value, these are common anywhere

Not to mention, the switch box doesn't even give you a coax connector -- it
goes from RCA to the old-fashioned two-wire, 300 ohm antenna connection. So
you need a second adapter (300 ohm to 75 ohm) to connect it to a modern TV.
Of course, with a 2068, you should just use the composite video output.
It's hard to find a modern TV without composite input.

It is actually possible. I have a Comp.Video to VGA converter. It works great.

These fixes worked for me so I never looked elsewhere.

I convert everything to HDMI myself. It's really all the same type of
conversion in the end and the same result is getting the best possible
picture on a modern display.

Yes!, I have a Magnavox flat screen HD TV with VGA, RGB and composit
inputs. Since it handles both analog and digital video it works fine for
the 2068...also atari & c64.

The only problem with that is that composite can look pretty terrible on HDTVs. Also, even worse, some HDTVs fall behind for a bit with the input. I guess the TV has to buffer the image or something. This makes them a terrible choice for gaming. However, I guess some HDTVs are better than others. Some people don't experience the issue.

That's very true Adam, I found an HDTV that will do both analog and digital
video, my ZX81 and TS2868 both occupy a square in the center, the TV
treats composite and RGB video as TV standard video, if you try to
send composite or RGB to an HD only TV if it displays at all it won't be
good.

I'm not sure what the hoopla is about... mine's connected to the same sharp b&w tv that my grandparents gave me in the mid 1980's
:-)
