1. "Time Design" magazine?

Peter Hoffman · Wed, 3 Dec 2008 09:41:

By the way, does anyone know the store behind what happened to "Time Design"
magazine when it ceased publication?
I was a subscriber at the time and there has been an air of mystery for me
about their going out of business ever since I called to ask when the next
issue was going to be (an issue which was never published). The woman I
spoke to said some strange things which left me with this nagging question
20 years later.

If anyone associated with "Time Design" reads this, I would just like to say
'thank you!' because I thought the magazine was excellent and I really
looked forward to getting the latest copy. Somewhere in storage I still
have every issue I received.

  Thanks!

I asked that question of Rod Gowen of "RMG Enterprises" a few years ago. If I remember Rod's account correctly it goes something like this, Time Designs Magazine (TDM) last issue was Volume 5, Number 2 (if you were fortunate enough to receive it, most didn't) which was about half-size compared to the other issues. The magazine simply ceased to exist and the publisher/editor/owners left town. They just weren't there any longer......

I was a subscriber and thought it was one of the best magazines for Timex users. Unfortunate things happen.

Thanks for the info! When I called asking about the last issue the
woman who answered was extremely upset, as if there had been some sort
of personal tragedy involved. I'd like to think the 'tragedy' was
just the shutting down of the magazine which, while I'm sure was
distressing, was something that would pass.
