hello good I decided to try to find all the software you could ts for 2068 so far some 80 programs take many games.
yet been testing with the emulator fuse that has been of great help to the compilation.
I have been testing many of them in a real ts 2068 and I've been happy, I just have trouble creating wav some are good but others not loaded into the real, the wav've tested in the emulator and also give me error, I need something help to be sure that everything works well I have to enter them to the group and everyone enjoys them.
I hope you can help me with the conversion to wav
I've been using for the conversion TZX2WAV

Why convert them to a .WAV file at all? you can play the TZX file straight from any PC...

Does anyone use OTLA to load programs into the TS2068?
I used OTLA on some ts2068 programs, then tried to load them withan iphone but have been unsuccessful.
I first used the mono cable that came with the 2068. The computer would not even recognize the header of the program i tried to load.
Thinking that perhaps the audio output of the iphone was sorted (because of the mono cable) I tried to
use an adapter, going from a stereo 3.5mm plug (on the iphone) to two RCA style plugs. Then fabricated
an adapter to connect from one of the RCA plugs to a mono 3.5mm plug to connect to the 2068.
Using this method, i was able to get it to at least "see" the program header on one of the two audio outputs,
but it still would not load the program correctly.
It is almost as if the iphone doesn't have enough output to drive the 2068 input.
So I was wondering what methods you guys are using to load programs into the TS2068 besides a tape recorder.
Regards,
Chris

You probably know this already, but make sure that you're not saving your audio files as compressed files (for instance, MP3). MP3 files are throwing away bits of your program-- and you need every byte. You need to save your audio output in an uncompressed format. Even if your programs are saved as WAV files, when they get moved to your iPhone they may be getting compressed by default. You'll need to turn that off in options of iTunes.
I load files onto real hardware, in this case, a Bally Arcade/Astrocade (but the hardware should not matter), via my computer speakers. The speakers boost the audio and allow my Astrocade to "hear" the audio that would not be "heard" coming straight out of my PC. I plug a mono, shielded, gold, 3.5mm audio cable into my headphone jack. Using a high-quality audio cable makes ALL the difference in the world-- it can mean the difference between loading and not loading a program.
Make sure that a program on the T/S 2068 will load a normal speed before using OTLA and boasting the baud rate way up. By the way, OTLS is the fast-loading protocol I was thinking about in my last email. It allows the Spectrum to use boosted baud rates. I've seen Manic Minor load on a Spectrum in something like 30 second on a YouTube video. It seems like magic. The end user can change the archived .tap or .tzx tape file to a WAV file using various tools available for the Spectrum. Which tool are you using, Chris? I've successfully loaded programs on my 2068 this way without trouble... but never at a higher-than-normal speed.

oh thanks for the good answer to wav is fun to use with my iriver player 20gb and can be loaded directly to the ts2068 've already found a program called I WinTZX passes very good for the time I had no problems with I've spent a good wav loaded me I loved to play Command and Terra Cresta truth is something else to play on the same ts2068 .
I use the cable to Iriver brings introdusco ts2068 but not all so I plug the normal load normal load like tape with the same delay
I need help on how to convert files in. BLK . TZX since I have some files in that format the fuse emulator reads very well but I want to load in real ts2068
truth have read the comment Adam the truth I'm newly entering the theme so I had problems at the start but now with me WinTZX wav loaded fine in normal mode is that if the iriver with volume 40 tonight I 'll put pass other files because the idea of sharing the material is found to work well and also put the files in the icnluir tzx tap or wav to simply charge their oh players from the same pC with Media Player Classic do more comfortably .
like I said my idea is to test all programs and make sure that they run in real ts2068 to start up the matter...

I've succesfully used a PC+PC speakers (with headphone connector) with OTLA. Manic Miner loaded in 23 seconds.

Eduardo.

Adam,
I have only tried OTLA. Tonight I had my first success for this restoration project. I was able to load a 30 year old program (time gate) from cassette. This was using a newly acquired Radio Shack player. So at least I know the restored unit works! :)
Both regulators have been swaped out, and all electrolytic caps have been replaced. Next on the list is the dual rom mod, then an RGB mod.
I did not know about any other tape programs out there other than OTLA.

Yes, that sounds about right from the video that I watched of the game loading. That's pretty fast. It's even faster than using a disk drive on a real C64 and a real Atari 8-bit computer. I remember that the Coleco Adam's tape loaded programs at about 19,000bps (or was it Bps?). I've read that under the best condition that OTLA can load programs in the 38,000 range. What speeds have you been able to achieve?

I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure that I configured OTLA at maximum speed.
I've attached the wav I used in my test
