Maybe. I'd favor the external version -- don't wanna hack up my 2068.

2. VGA slot in Timex?

Hello!

I've found a small chip that converts TV signal
to VGA. It costs $10, so the whole upgrade would
be $30 as internal and $50 as external.
http://www.averlogic.com/product_last.asp?ID=43

The chip produces VGA signal from RGB/YUV one.
In Timex there are 16 possible colors. With this
chip you can assign one color from 16M pallette
to every color of the 16. It can be controlled
and programmed via I2C interface. The AY-3-8912
can work as I2C device for it.

What do you think about replacing the internal
TV modulator with a VGA module?

Would you be interested in external VGA interface
for Timex?

Me too.
I like my Timex just how it is.

Jarek,

Sounds like a awesome project. Somehow add ps/2 keyboard, joystick, and
mouse (pic chip) to it, and hook several Sinclairs to a vga switchbox.

I'd gladly get rid of the tv modulator for vga.

Very cool.
