The Zebra Blippo is a sound generator for the TS1000. I think the VS101 was billed as the Zebra Talker, a speech generator.

Can anyone tell me what the Zebra VS101 for the Timex 1000 is used for? Also the Zebra Blippo for the 1000, anyone? Thanks,
Neil

The VS101 was a Votrax SC-01 Based voice synthesizer for the Timex/Sinclair Computers. I think the 101 was the ZX-81/TS1000/TS1500 model. Just check the size of the connector to be sure.
The Blippo was a simple D to A Sound board for the ZX-81/TS1000/TS1500 similar to the Orchestra-80 on the TRS-80 (which was a cheap clone of Stewart's original Music Box device).
If you write to Stewart at Zebra Systems, he might still have docs available. I have tape of the software, but they are about 22 years old. I haven't tried loading them in years.
