And, by the way, I've finally mounted the ZX1541, an
interface that can be used to connect Commodore 1541
disk drive (or any other IEC device) to ZX81/TS1000.
http://8bit.yarek.pl/interface/zx81.zx1541/
It has 8kB EEPROM, that can be reprogrammed from
ZX81 level, there's still 5.5kB free (not used by
the software that controls IEC). Also 32kB SRAM,
half is used for IEC communication, while other
16kB is free for use.
Both EEPROM and SRAM can be disabled by one OUT,
what makes possible to use HRG or Memopak interfaces.
(The ZX1541 must be connected as the last one, at
least behind the interface that provides memory.)
There's also another IEC software that uses Z80PIO
and with some small corrections could be adapted
to this construction.
In addition (and by coincidence) I made also IECATA
boards. This is IDE harddisk controller, with serial
IEC interface compatibile to C64 and VIC-20.
http://8bit.yarek.pl/interface/c64.iecata/
The ZX1541 board can be also used with TS2068, as the
edge slot is compatibile. But some changes in ZX1541
design are requied, as TS2068 has other memory
management. If there's someone really interested, I
can discuss and define such modifications, also port
ZXVGS as operating system.
Printed circuit boards can be ordered here:

Mounted and tested devices will be available later.
