Reimplementing the TS2068 (and pushing it further) in an FPGA is a recurring ambition on the list, with Jeff Burrell as the main through-line — from his 2021 "Proposal for FPGA based advanced 2068" and board updates, back to Yahoo-era discussions as far as 2009 and 2015. Grouped here as a standing R&D thread rather than a shipped product.
